82. Absolutely Average, Beautiful Peace Corps Sunday

I took my camera with me this morning on my sunrise walk.  Despite the dust and rising heat, it was still a strikingly lovely day.  Here are three pictures taken along the path:

A little girl playing in a box
One of hundreds of blooms on a living fence
A tree blossom in the morning sun

There is just so much beauty in this part of Mozambique.

How incredibly lucky we've been.

I can't believe that we have less than twelve weeks left.  I'm feeling a bit sentimental.  Like a friend wrote to me this morning-- "There's something about Peace Corps that gets into your heart and just won't get out."

  1. Lovely photos. I hope you have these savoring moments each day as you wrap up your experience there. And no - your Peace Corps days will never leave your heart. They become etched on it forever even when it feels like you must have only dreamed it all.
